My lovely students nominated me for this prestigious award earlier in the year and after meeting the criteria I am pleased to announce that I  won! I feel so honoured to have won this award I would like to say a huge thank you to my students and families along with Irish Dancing magazine for making this happen for me, I am over the moon. My school and my students are everything to mean and it really means the world to be recognised for my teaching.

Love Mrs RF XO

Here's is a small write up in Irish Dancing magazine, there is a full article coming out in September

"  In the spring of 2021, Irish Dancing Magazine opened the nomination process to dancers, parents, and industry professionals to nominate dance teachers with qualities that reflect a standard of excellence that goes beyond competitive results. .......

Our Open level dancer Eithne McCarthy has placed 13th in the World for the Traditional Set Championship over 30yrs category. Eithne has been training at home via zoom which is a very strange experience and even filmed her Worlds entry at home. Normally we get to fly to somewhere in Europe to compete at this ginormous annual event so It did feel a little strange this year! In 2019 we travelled to Eindhoven in the Netherlands to compete for the first time and Eithne placed 5th in the Trad set championship before breaking her foot on stage! We had a fantastic experience there apart from the broken bone of course, and it was fantastic to watch the best dancers from all over the World dance their hearts out on stage for these prestigious titles. On behalf of us all here Eithne congratulations xo
